Princess Beatrice’s Ridiculous Royal Wedding Hat for Sale

Princess BeatriceSo, people have FINALLY stopped talking about the Royal Wedding, and not a moment too soon. While all the hoopla about a Prince with no power getting married was seemingly ridiculous in its own right, nothing was more absurd than one attendee’s horrendous headwear. I thought royalty was supposed to have class?

There were a lot of different hats at the Royal Wedding, small hats, big hats, the Queen’s cake hat, Camilla’s….pillow hat. But all of those pale in comparison to the hat heard (or more likely seen) ’round the world. I’m talking, of course, about Princess Beatrice’s “hat”. This one was so outlandish that even the designer of the hat, Phillip Treacy, felt kind of bad about it. Treacy stated, “Gorgeous and beautiful can be open to interpretation…I thought they looked gorgeous and beautiful. But no one is crying if anyone didn’t.”

This hat reminds me of little miss Cindy Lou Who’s hair in The Grinch (at least that was on purpose and fit with the character). This hat has made the seemingly unknown Princess Beatrice, niece to the late Princess Diana, a sort of celebrity, albeit for all the wrong reasons.

Beatrice became an internet name almost as soon as the picture of her and her hat hit the internet. The hat also inspired its own Facebook page. All this might have contributed to Beatrice putting the hat up for sale on eBay. All the proceeds go to Unicef which should help you justify your new $3,500 purchase.

Seriously? $3,500 for this “thing”? I mean, if you really need it, then by all means, go for it. However, I think it would be better if you just gave that money directly to Unicef and put the hat somewhere in the dark recesses of your mind. I mean, just look at that thing!

Most business class projectors will do a good job displaying your PowerPoint presentation. If you have a small presentation group, a 2000 lumen LCD projector will be able to produce a nice and clear picture. For larger audiences you should consider a 5000 lumen LCD projector.
